Rob Pronk was a Dutch composer and music producer. He was born in Malang, Dutch East Indies (now Malang, East Java, Indonesia) on 3 January 1928. He studied music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Royal Conservatory of Amsterdam. Pronk was a prolific composer, writing music for films, television, and the stage. He composed the music for the Dutch television series "De Fabeltjeskrant" (The Fables Gazette) and the musical "De Kleine Prins" (The Little Prince). He also wrote the music for the Dutch feature film "De Dijk" (The Dike). Pronk was also a successful music producer, working with many Dutch artists, including Boudewijn de Groot, Ramses Shaffy, and Liesbeth List. He was also the producer of the Dutch version of the musical "Cats". Pronk died on 28 April 2020 at the age of 92.
